Dr. Mangal grew up in Indianapolis, IN. He went to undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University where he received a BS in Biomedical Engineering. From there, he did research at National Institute of Health as a research fellow. He went on to medical school at Rush Medical School followed by residency in anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center. He then did a fellowship in pain management at University of Virginia.

Dr. Mangal has been practicing in Virginia and Maryland since 2013, and is dually board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. He has published several papers and is a key opinion leader in the field of pain management.

Dr. Mangal is married and has 3 children, and loves to spend time with his kids coaching basketball, football, and tennis. He plays golf in his spare time.
